Funeral services celebrating the life of Laurel Beth Alexander Hanson, 63, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, LA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Laurel was born July 31, 1952 to John Jacob and Helen Joyce Lee Alexander and passed away suddenly on September 18, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Hylton W. Hanson, Sr.; son, Kenneth L. Hanson; stepson, Hylton W. Hanson, Jr., and wife, Joanna; stepdaughter, Debra K. Burdine and Jamie Burdine; grandchildren, Heather, Courtney, Morgan, Chuck and Brook; brothers, John L. Alexander, Bob Alexander and wife, Shirley; sisters, Alecia Alexander, Leslie Lowrance and husband, Kenneth; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.Laurel was enjoying retirement life in Florida where she moved after retiring from AT&T. She was a very thoughtful, loving, sweet, and gentle spirit. Laurel was described by her neighbors and friends as a true southern lady. Honoring as pallbearers will be Ken Lowrance, Dennis Evens, Larry Gilley, Jamie Burdine, Chuck Burdine and Hylton Hanson, Jr.
