This single burial is located just off of US Hwy 171 South of New Llano. From New Llano/LA Hwy 1211 drive about 1 1/2 miles. Stop on the right side (West) of the highway just past the skating rink and before the speedway (park in the skating rink parking lot). The vault is located about 100 yards to the west of the road and about 100 yards south of the skating rink, just past the power lines. The trees and brush are very thick on top of the hill, the full-size vault is located about 30 feet inside the tree line. The leaves, limbs and trash may have to be cleaned off.
This burial was located by Elton Jackson of Pickering, who contacted a daughter of the deceased to acquire the name and dates for her parents. Elton took Jane McManus to the site on May 7, 1996. It was recorded in 2000 on USGenWeb.
