This small African American cemetery is located in the southwestern corner of Vernon Parish. Take LA Hwy 111 south from Evans community for about 5.0 miles, and turn right, (west) onto Almadane Cemetery Road. Travel approximately 1.5 miles to end of dirt road (access to hunting lease is prohibited at this point), but a lane turns sharply to the left to a parking area of the cemetery. The cemetery is probably an acre in size with a chain-linked fenced and can be entered by vehicle through the main gate. There are only a few tombstones and above ground vaults; there are many funeral markers (some very old and unreadable) as well as many unmarked burials with old flowers and no inscriptions of any kind. The area had been recently mowed when I visited and appears to be maintained except for broken limbs and trash from a recent storm.
