Cottage Grove Cemetery
This Presbyterian churchyard cemetery
dates from the 1840s. Among the area
pioneers buried here is James Belton Pickett
(died 1842). one of the original founders of
the Shreve Town Company, which
established Shreveport. Pickett's is the
oldest marked grave in the cemetery.
