Funeral service for Mrs. Valeria Mae Locke Smith, 91, of Monroe, LA, will be held 2:00PM Thursday, January 8, 2015, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith passed away on January 6, 2015, in Monroe. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Franklin Smith Sr.; daughter-in-law, Patricia Douglas Smith; and grandson, Patrick Smith.
Survivors include her brother, Julian Locke of Quitman, AR; children, Allen Franklin Smith, Jr. of Houston, TX; Aloise Holley and husband Lester of Monroe, LA; Brenda Daniels and husband David of Alto, LA; Bruce Smith of Ashland, KY; and Cathy Frost and husband Richard of Shreveport, LA; daughters-in-law, Jeanne Smith of West Monroe, LA; and Bobbie Smith of Ashland, KY; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until service time Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
