Funeral services for “Marty” Platt, 73 of West Monroe will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Interment will follow at Amity Cemetery, Hebert, LA. Marguerite Lucinda Helmandollar Platt “Marty” was born on May 26, 1941 in Quincy, Ohio and passed away April 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents Rosa and Roy Helmandollar, her son Daryl Platt and the father of her children Todd Platt. Survivors include sons David, Daniel, Douglas, Derrick, Donovan and Damon Platt and daughter Dawn Meeks and husband Kevin. Grandchildren include Patsy, Shawn, Brandy, Christy, Junior, Anna, Summer, Jonathan, Cheyenne, Damon Jr., Kayla, Donovan Jr. and Renee. Her great-grandchildren are Brendan, Faith, Kara, Jackson, Aidan, Evan, Amanda, Stormie and Hazel. Sisters Phyllis, Deloris, Betty, Lanie, Becky, Christine and brother Bobby Helmandollar along with hosts of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Like her heart, her door was always open, welcoming her great family. She will be dearly missed, and never forgotten
