Atlanta, TX - Funeral services for Mr. James Morris "Jimmy" Jenkins, age 81, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary McNutt officiating. Interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Jenkins was born on March 14, 1933 to George Wallace and Emma Christine Eagles Jenkins in Winnfield, LA and passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 in Texarkana, TX. He was a former resident of Springhill and was a member of the Tanglewood Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, TX. He was retired from International Paper with 46 years of service.

He is survived by his son, Robert Jenkins and wife, Donna of Richardson, TX; grandchildren, Steve Jenkins and Allison Alonzo of Baton Rouge, LA; Stacie Cagney and husband, Tim of Frisco, TX, Terah Culp and husband, Alex of Plano, TX; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas Culp, Amelia Cagney, Cade Cagney and Lawson Jenkins; two sisters, Olive Elizabeth Watson of Vicksburg, MS, Barbara Ann Lee and husband, Marvin of Stonewall, LA; brother, George Edward Jenkins and wife, Marion of Atlanta, TX and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Hooter Jenkins on August 5, 2003; his parents; son, Donnie Wayne Jenkins; brothers, Richard, Joe and Johnny Jenkins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Davis,William Basinger, Dan Jenkins, Jerry Lee, David Lee and Mike Lee.
