Anne graduated from St. Martin's School and Sophie Newcomb College. She received a master's degree in Art History from Tulane University and remained active in the New Orleans arts. She was curator of the Wedell-Williams air museum in Patterson, LA, and then became a New Orleans Realtor. Anne lived in Maui for ten years, representing the artist Robert Lynn Nelson, working for the PGA tournaments at Kapalua, serving as a delegate to the 2004 Republican National convention, tutoring children, and serving as a court appointed mediator. During this time she joined the Lahaina Yacht club, serving as its treasurer and secretary of the US Navy League of Maui. Anne became a certified yacht race starter and for many years a member of the Vic-Maui International Yacht Race team.
