Obituary:
Funeral services for Billy G. Cowart, 71, of Rayville, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2011 at Little Creek United Methodist Church, Archibald, LA with Rev. Dana Thrash officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.
Billy was born September 23, 1940 in Sicily Island, LA and passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Leller Cowart; brothers, Roy Cowart, Wesley Cowart, and Mecom Cowart; and sister, Idell McLemore.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Rhonda Cowart of Rayville; children, Michael Cowart, Melisa Cowart, Melody Walker, and Steven Cowart all of Rayville; 11-grandchildren; sister, Daisy "Rethel" Smith of Rayville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jimmy McLemore, Michael Bush, Justin Cowart, Steven Cowart, and Mark Bennett.
