Obituary
DELHI — Funeral services for Mose Washington, 73, of Delhi, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Evening Star Baptist Church near here with the Rev. Aaron Griffin officiating.
Burial will be in the Cloud Creek Cemetery under the direction of Simms and Gundy Funeral Co. of Rayville.
Mr. Washington died Nov. 21 when he was struck by an automobile north of Delhi.
Survivors include nine daughters, Miss Earlean Washington, Mrs. Gladys Hawkins, both of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Mary Perkins, Mrs. Ozzie Lee Neal, Mrs. Juliz Ann McDowell, all of Delhi, Mrs. Pauline Harris, Mrs. Bernice Smith, both of Monroe, Mrs. Theola Pigthin of Beaumont, Tex., and Miss Pearlie Washington of Delhi; six sons, Henry Washington, Jessie Washington, Willie Edward Washington, all of Delhi, Mose Washington Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev., George Washington of Rayville, Robert Washington of Beaumont, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Wilson, Mrs. Carrie Johnson, both of Delhi, and Mrs. Lina Boyd of Alexandria; one brother, Robert Washington of Los Angeles, Calif.; 79 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Sons will serve as pallbearers.
