Funeral services for Mrs. Mavis Gay Guillot, age 70, will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, September 19, 2014, at the Unity Baptist Church, Cotton Valley, Louisiana, with Rev. Scott Guillot, Rev. Gene Gipson and Rev. David Harrell, officiating. Interment will follow in Cotton Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Unity Baptist Church, Cotton Valley, Louisiana.

Mrs. Guillot was born on December 23, 1943 to Charlie Miller Andrews and Dovie Irene Ezell Andrews, in Gilbert, LA and passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. She was a resident of Cotton Valley for 39 years and a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church. She was homemaker and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Purvis Guillot Sr., on April 16, 2010; her parents; and sisters, Nellie Guthrie and Mary Lee Payne.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Sue Holtzclaw of Sarepta, LA, Tracey Lynn Crank and husband Ricky, of Cotton Valley, LA; three sons, John P Guillot Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Shongaloo, LA, Russell Glen Guillot and wife Linde of Haynesville, LA, Robert Scott Guillot and wife Lisa of Strong, AR; sister, Betty Parker of Vicksburg, MS; and brother, Charles Andrews of Cotton Valley, LA; eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearer will be Riley Burns.

The family wishes to express special thanks to Missy Putman.
