Springhill, LA-Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Hearn Brown, age 79, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tim Brown officiating and assisted by Rev. Wayne Reeves. Interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey Funeral Home.Mrs. Brown was born on November 19, 1934 in Sarepta, LA to John Wesley and Zeta Alline Berry Hearn and passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 in Springhill, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area and was a charter member of Temple Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to fish and work in her yard. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Peggy Lee and Ouida Hearn; brother, Eugene Hearn and grandson, Rodney Wayne Brown, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ben Junior Brown; daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Rader, of Springhill, LA; sons, Terry Michael Brown and wife, Nancy of Mooringsport, LA; Rodney Wayne Brown of Springhill, LA; Dr. Timothy Lynn "Tim" Brown and wife, LaRonna of Tupelo, MS; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Thomas of Shreveport, LA; Sandra Hanson and husband, Merlin of Springhill, LA; her twin brother, Don Hearn and wife, Sue of Rowlett, TX; brother, John Wesley Hearn, Jr. of Kingwood, TX; a host of nieces, nephews and her loving church family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Morgan, Chad Morgan, Jason Rader, Justin Rader, Jarod Brown and Tanner Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Temple Baptist Church.
