Graveside services with military graveside rites, and interment for Mr. James Richard Robinson, Jr., age 91, will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the Springhill Cemetery with Chaplain William "Buster" Bailey officiating. Services are under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015, from 2:00 to 3:45 pm at Bailey Funeral Home.

Mr. Robinson was born on November 28, 1923 to James Richard Robinson, Sr. and Mary Edith Ingle Robinson in Lincolnton, NC and passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Springhill, LA. He was a resident of Springhill, a member of the Lutheran faith and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army from 1940 to 1946. During this time, he served in the Southwest Pacific and was awarded two battle stars and one combat infantry badge. He was employed with International Paper Company for 39 years, retiring in 1986. He was also a member of the Springhill Masonic Lodge #348 FandAM and was raised as a Master Mason in 1965.

He is survived by two daughters, Becky Sanders of Taylor, AR; Tracie Boucher of Springhill, LA; two sons, Bruce Robinson and wife, Linda; Steve Robinson and wife, Jennifer all of Taylor, AR; eight grandchildren, Matt Sanders, Wendy Sanders, Danielle McWilliams and husband, Robby, B. J. Robinson and wife, Gina, Nicholas Robinson and wife Sandra, Sarah Smith and husband, Paul; Valerie Robinson; Callie Deaver and husband, Casey and a host of great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ted Robinson and wife, Marion of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by wife of 69 years, Rosemary Nickerson Robinson, his parents; brother, Pete Robinson; two sisters, Mary Jane Morgan and Odeline "Dean" Armstrong.

The family wishes to express special Thanks to Elizabeth Stephens, Melba Benjamin, Chaplain Buster Bailey and Sandra Howington for their exceptional love and care.
