Funeral services for Mrs. Kathleen Butler Twitty, age 89, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William "Bill" McClain officiating. Interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Twitty was born on October 4, 1925 in Walkers Creek, AR and passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in Springhill, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area and was a former member of the Spring Branch Baptist Church and later became a member of the Springhill United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Holtzclaw and her children, Seth Thomas Holtzclaw and James Jarred Holtzclaw and a great-granddaughter, Callie Renee Holtzclaw all of Taylor, AR; other grandchildren include Leah Harris, Richard Howe, Billy Long McElhanon, Deva Collazos, Secret Burkheiser and Brandy Duhon; great-grandchildren, Sheena, Tony, Spencer, Lilah, Riley, Norah, Simon, Ryker, Ashley, Megan and Emily. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Twitty was preceded in death by her husband, James Twitty in 1989; parents; sister, Bertie Wynn; brothers, Signard Butler, Dee Butler and Robert Butler.
Pallbearers will be James Holtzclaw, Mark Collazos, Chris Burkheiser, Sam Phillips, Seth Holtzclaw and Steve Glass.
