September 4, 1903 - February 20, 1968
James Lumpkin Hogan of Ruston, La., died Tuesday night in a Ruston hospital after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. J. L. Hogan of Ruston; two daughters, Miss Bobbie Sue Hogan of Ruston and Mrs. Jeanette Thompson of Winnsboro, La.; his mother, Mrs. Nancy Hogan of Ruston; four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Edwards of Choudrant, La., Mrs. Jim Glaze of Junction City, Mrs. Bernard Thomas of Monroe, Mrs. Dick Taylor of Ruston; two brothers, O. W. Hogan and A. D. Hogan, both of Ruston; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Temple Baptist Church in Ruston. Final arrangements are under direction of Spears Funeral Home of Ruston. (El Dorado Times - February 21, 1968)
