Additional Cemetery Info...

Morley Cypress company was a large lumbering company that operated from 1907 -1927. A bayou that ran along the back of the saw mill, divided the town into a white section and a black section. The black section consisted of approximately 40 houses, a church, barber, pool hall, and dance hall. The cemetery has been reclaimed by Mother Nature long ago. These interments are abstracted from Louisiana Death Certificates.
