Died of Wounds
Sergeant Pankey died at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, of non-combat related injuries sustained in Balad, Iraq, on September 23, 2005. He was assigned to the Army Reserve's 467th Engineer Battalion, Greenwood, Mississippi. Died on October 3, 2005.
