Funeral services for Dylan Miles Graves will be held Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., in the Smith Chapel at Riverbend Church in Austin,TX. Officiating the service will be Dr. Gordon Smith. The family will be receiving friends and loved ones on Wednesday evening between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Austin Peel and Son.
Dylan Miles Graves was born in Austin, Texas on February 12, 1987, and died on Monday, May 22, 2006 in College Station, Texas. Dylan graduated from Lake Travis High School in 2005, and had just completed his freshman year at Blinn Jr. College in Bryan, and was working at the Home Depot. While at Lake Travis High School, Dylan played on the varsity baseball team, and was also active in Young Life. Dylan loved being outdoors, from hunting to just playing with the dogs. But what he really loved the most was being with his family and friends. Dylan just loved his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
Dylan is survived by his mother, Marianne McDonald and his father and step-mother, Boyd and Lynn Graves, all of Austin, TX., his sister, Kristi Graves John, of Fort Worth, TX., his grandparents, William B. (Bud) and Gwendolyn McDonald, of Shreveport, LA., and Verdon and Jerry Graves, of Sulphur Springs, TX., his uncle, David McDonald, of Shreveport, LA., his aunt and uncle, Elsianne and Darrell Horton, of Sulphur Springs, TX., his uncle and aunt, David and Danita Graves, of Sulphur Springs, a very special aunt, Dorothy Taylor, of Homer, LA., his step-brother Christopher Pugsley, a step-sister, Katerina Pugsley, both of Lansing, MI.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Bayless, Brent Beaver, Hayne Holley, Jonathan Kutscherousky, Justin Mynier, Jeffrey Petersen and Josh Taylor. In Lieu of flowers, memorials and contributions may be made to the German Shorthair Pointer Rescue, 2217 Lake Sharon Drive - Denton, TX. 76210, the Lake Travis Youth Association Scholarship Fund, or to the charity of your choice.
