Son of Joe Allen & Eliza Cole Carroll
February 11, 1888 - December 29, 1968
Charles A. Carroll, 80, a retired pharmacist of Spearsville, La., died Sunday morning at a Bernice, La. hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a member of the Spearsville Baptist Church, a member of the Thomas Jefferson Masonic Lodge No. 113 F&AM and a member of the Royal Lodge of D. F. Reeder Chapter 109 RAM. Survivors include his widow; four sons, Joe A. Carroll, Chester, S.C., C. B. (Ted) Carroll, Shreveport, La., Ben O. Carroll, Chicago, Ill. and Dr. Pete J. Carroll, Bernice, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Janes C. McRae of Elkin, N.C. and Mrs. Mary C. Greenlee, El Dorado; three sisters, Miss Jewell Carroll, Spearsville, Mrs. Alma Bright, Shreveport, and Mrs. Lucille Sinkbeiner, Benton, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Spearsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Loyd E. Baird officiating, assisted by the Rev. Oscar Bradford. Burial will be at the Spearsville Cemetery with Masonic graveside services. Funeral services will be under the direction of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home of Bernice. (El Dorado Times - December 30, 1968)
