Keatchie, LA - Donald Ray Garcie, 70, passed away on July 14, 2017. He was born on July 3, 1947 to Sam and Elva Garcie of Zwolle, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Services will be officiated by Rev. Mike Hawkins.
Donald was preceded in death by both parents, sister, Sybil Garcie and brother, Allen Garcie. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Terri Ferguson Garcie, daughters; Christy and husband Stacy Roge', Robin Garcie and Elizabeth and husband Tim Quinley, son, Brett Golightly, sisters; Hazel Ebarb, Joyce Ann and husband Simon Leone, brothers; James Garcie, Pete Garcie, Herman and wife Ella Garcie, Sammie and wife Rosalind Garcie, Grandchildren; Tyler Cameron, Brannon Cameron, Timothy Quinley, Brady Quinley, Travis Roge', Matthew Dye and Michelle Dye, numerous nephews and nieces.
Donald loved to make people laugh. A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, uncle and friend Donald will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
Honoring Donald as pallbearers are: Jerry Garcie, Jeff Garcia, Stacy Roge', Ernie Sepulvado, Kevin Craig, Owen Grubb and Tim Quinley.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Herman Garcie, Travis Roge', Tyler Cameron, Brannon Cameron and Benny Ray Sepulvado.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund and the American Cancer Society.
