Mausoleum
Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church for Felton Poydras, 72, who died May 21, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Services will be conducted by Fr. Gary Schexnayder.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
He is survived by one aunt, Mary Gloria Ledet; two sisters, Barbara Comeaux and Dometil Marie Poydras; one brother, Thomas Poydras; loving companion of 23 years, Retha Blackston; children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, family and loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Octavia Brown Poydras; his father, Harry Poydras; one sister, Linda K. Ruffin and one brother, Christopher Poydras.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 a.m. until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m.
