Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Paul “Buddy” Miller, 85, who passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 8:56 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
Deacon Byrne Winn will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Carencro.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne. A Rosary will be recited on Friday at 6:30 in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife of sixty six years, Evelyn Foster Miller of Lafayette; one son, John and wife, Linda Miller of TX; one daughter, Janet and husband, Larry Nero of Duson; three granddaughters, April and husband, Chris Simon of Breaux Bridge, Erica Ottmers of TX, Kendell M Brasseaux of Lafayette; great-grandchildren, Caitlynn and Caroline Simon, Cody and Makenzie Brasseaux; two sisters, Barbara Nero of Lafayette, Delores and husband, Clifford Dies of Gonzales; one brother-in-law, John Daigle of Opelousas.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, Spivey and Bertha Miller; one daughter, Carol Ann Miller; three sisters, Corita Miller, Romanell and husband, Willie Prejean, Shirley and husband, T.L. Guillory; one sister-in-law, Rose Daigle.
The Miller family would like to express their appreciation to all at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home in Cade, La for all the kindness they gave to him during his stay.
