Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Greater St James Missionary Baptist Church, 829 W Pulford St, Opelousas, for Mr Roosevelt Stevens, Sr, 78, who entered eternal rest, Monday, November 9, 2015 in Oklahoma City.
Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette.
Mr Stevens is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Annie Wise Villery Stevens of Oklahoma; children Roosevelt Stevens, Jr (Floretta) of Ok, Anthony Stevens (Jetta) of AZ and Rebecca Stevens of TX; a brother, Nelson Steven of MS; two sisters, Doris Jones and Ana Lois Ford both of LA; 6 grandchildren, Roshaun, Jasmine, Domonique, Andrew, Faith and Isaiah; and a host of extended relatives and friends.
Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel & Olena Stevens and his siblings.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8 AM to 10:45 AM Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Williams Funeral Home of Opelousas, 337-942-2037.
