Lafayette - Graveside Service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:00 am sharp at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens for Harold Gerard Lambert.

Harold Gerard Lambert, a devoted Jehovah’s Witness, died Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 10:55am. He was 67 years of age. He was born July 11, 1953 at 10:09 am to Velma and Horace Joseph Lambert Sr, at St Patrick’s Hospital in Lake Charles.
Harold had many occupations during his lifetime. His longest employment was with Boeing until a life-changing injury caused him to become semi-disabled. Although pain was a mainstay in his life, Harold later found employment with various odd jobs until further health issues caused him to have to cease working altogether.

Once Harold settled in Lafayette his family said his life took a decidedly different turn when he began to study the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. This began his 5-year walk of faith with Jehovah God. Harold was baptized on September 4, 2016 in Lake Charles at Burton Coliseum. He worked diligently to bring souls to God. When Harold started having health issues and could not leave his home, he continued to conduct telephone ministry.

“Although suffering through a myriad of health issues, Harold’s faith and service to Jehovah never wavered,” his family said in a tribute. “All who knew him, knew about his love for and faith in Jehovah God.”

In 2016, Harold became a regular pioneer, dedicating hours to preaching and teaching the Bible. Harold attended Pioneer Service School in 2018 which helped him to hone his Bible teaching skills. Because he wanted to be a teacher in the church to share what he learned, he became qualified to give short bible lectures.

Harold was diagnosed in August 2019 with Lung Cancer after months of hospitalization and testing.

He is survived by daughter Theresa Casey Hayes and husband, Ralph; sons Harold and wife, Shanielle and Antonio Mcarthur; seven grandchildren; siblings Horace Lambert Jr & wife Gwen, Howard Lambert & wife Pat and Kevin Lambert & wife Joyce; several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and lifelong friends.

He will truly be missed.
