Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Saturday, January 23, 2016, at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Kendrick "Blok" Blanchard, 41, who passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until 10:00 am Saturday at Pellerin Funeral Home Carver Street Chapel. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am Saturday.

Rev Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Melissa Wood. Gift Bearers will be Zakarriya Collins and JNaesheia Pennier. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.

Kendrick Blok Blanchard was born July 24, 1974 to Norwood J Blanchard and Mary G Davis Blanchard. Kendrick enjoyed boy scouting and going camping. He played football and basketball for Breaux Bridge he was a star. He was a graduate of Breaux Bridge High School. He worked for a short time until he was disabled. Kendrick enjoyed dancing and being around friends and family. He also enjoyed playing cards. He loved joking around and had a heart of gold. He would give his last if someone needed it.

Kendrick leaves to cherish his mother, Mary G Blanchard; sons, Rodney, Jordie, and DMarco Roberts; brother Dwainwood Blanchard; sisters, Autrea (Joseph, Jr.) Collins and Christy (Demoyne) Pennier; grandchild, Carter Roberts; nieces, Zakarriya, Zahiya, Zah Niya, and Zalana Collins, JNaesheia Pennier, Tay Leah Batiste, and Danaya Sam; nephews, Rush Arvie and Zavion Collins; and godchild, Shataja Noel.

He is preceded in death by father Norwood Joseph Blanchard; grandparents Amanda and George Benjamin, great grandparents Evelina and Arthur John Louis, Jr; grandfather Joseph Davis; nephew Bentley David Pennier; uncles, Willie Noel, Sr., Nolton Blanchard, Curtis Zeno, Lawrence Zeno, Joseph Zeno, George Benjamin and Gaston Williams; and aunt Mercedes Sylvester.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Blanchard, Issac Davis, Harry Noel, Albert Menard, Roderick Martinez, Randy Menard, Harriet Noel, Lonnie Zeno, and Tasha Zeno.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Roberts, Dwainwood Blanchard, Demoyne Pennier, and Joseph Collins, Jr.
