Funeral services for Jessie W. Banks, Sr., 56, of Vicksburg, MS, formerly of Vidalia, LA will be held September 17, 2016 at 1:00pm from Union Baptist Church in Vidalia. Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery with Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Banks, son of Jeffery Banks, Sr. and Patsy Cubie Banks was born in Natchez, MS and died at River Regions Medical Center in Vicksburg. He was a regional manager for Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants.
His survivors include: his ex-wife and mother of his children, Wanda Jo Banks of Vidalia; his children, Jessie Banks, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; Brandy Small, Erica Small and Llwendelyn Paul all of Vidalia; four brothers, Renard Banks and his wife, Sylvia; Franklin Banks and his wife, Betty, all of Natchez, MS; Ernie Banks, Sr. and his wife, Jennifer of Vidalia; Danny Lyles and his wife, Denise of Dallas, TX; five sisters, Marjorie Williams and her husband, Charlie; Sharon White and her husband, Rolondo; Betty Sigust and her husband, Arthur; Helen Lyles and her husband, Johnathan; Barbara Ross and her husband, James all of Vidalia; Eva L. Banks of Greenbelt, MD.
Also seven grandchildren; a special friend, Dorothy Taylor Martin of Vicksburg; one step son, Terrell Dotson of Vicksburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two children, Robert D. Banks and Jessica Banks; six siblings, Leo Banks, Jeffery Banks, Jr., Tom Banks, Idella Sheppard, Irma Banks and Elnora Banks.
