FERRIDAY, La. - Services for Magnolia Simpson, 78, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at New St. James Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willie Burton officiating.
Burial will be at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Williams and Williams Funeral Home.
Visitation is today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Simpson was born Mar. 10, 1921, the daughter of Ezekele Simpson and Idella Lovely.
She was a member of the Loving Union Society of Concordia Park. She was also a Baptist.
Survivors include nieces, Joyce Lee of Jena, La., Sandra Webster of Ferriday, Thelma Simpson and Vanessa Brannan, both of Vidalia; three great nieces, Jamesia Webster, Ashley Atkins and Kiariel Phipps, all of Ferriday; nephews, Robert Simpson and Johnnie Ray Bates, both of Ferriday.
