Funeral Service celebrating the life of Luther Elwood Sanson, Jr. of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, January 30, 2021 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Don Cardin officiating.
Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe, LA, under the direction of griffin Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Family will receive friends for visitation, Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, at the funeral home.

Mr. Luther was born April 3, 1949 and passed from this life January 24, 2021 at the age of 71.
He was called to pastor a church in 2013 and has never been happier. He loved to preach the gospel of Jesus, to tend this flock of Jesus’s followers and to be Jesus to those he met.
He is preceded in death by his father, Luther Elwood Sr, mother, Inez Mason Sanson; brother, Clarence Larkin Sanson; nephew, Carl Douglas Sanson.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 48 years, Trudy Head Sanson; brother, Marshall Leon Sanson and wife Thana; sister in law, Bonnie Bonner Kauffman; nephews, Marshall and Chase Sanson and their spouses, and two nieces, Wendy Fields and Amber Cage and their spouses; also survived by several great nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Pallbearers include, Chase Sanson, Marshall V. Sanson, Ed Bain, Colby Hall, Horace Winchester, and Brian Winchester.

Honorary pallbearers are Bro. Harry Mayo, and the male members of Twin Oaks Baptist Church, Bastrop.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideon International to help further the gospel of Jesus.
