Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe "Joe Billy" Pilgreen, 78, of Bernice will be 10:00AM Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Jacob Hilton, Bro. Steve Hughes and Bro. Ken Reeves officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mr. Pilgreen, retired from the Louisiana Dept. of Elections, passed away June 10, 2013. He was a member of Mt. Sterling Baptist Church and loved hunting, fishing and gardening.
Mr. Pilgreen is preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Jo Pilgreen; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Pilgreen; his grandparents; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Green; and niece, Lisa Marsh.
Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Barbara Pilgreen; 1 brother, James E. (Gwen) Pilgreen ; 2 sisters, Mary Jane Swanner and Patsy (James R.) Peterson all of Bernice; 6 nephews; 7 nieces; 1 brother-in-law, Larry (Nita) Green; 3 sisters-in-law, Janette (Bobby) Kelley, Nancy (Johnny) Marsh and Connie (Robby) Gerety.
Visitation will be 5-8PM Wednesday at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
