Funeral services for Wilbur Stanley Hill, Jr. 64, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 Am, Friday, March 4, 2016 at Lapine Assembly of God . Pastor Gene Benson and Bro Buddy Wade will be officiating. Interment will follow at Head Cemetery West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, Louisiana. Stanley was born August 30, 1951 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away March 1, 2016. He was a retired self employed auto mechanic and was an Army Veteran of 61/2 years and served in the Vietnam War. Stanley was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Hill Sr, sister Kathleen Hill and granddaughter, Hope Louise Straub. He was a member of Lapine Assembly of God in West Monroe and loved God and all of his church family. Stanley was also in American Legion Post 201 for a number of years. Stanley is survived by his wife Barbara Barringer Hill of West Monroe; children, Steven Hill and wife Sherri of Texarkana, Texas and daughter Janet Hill Risher of Ruston, Louisiana; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, David Hill and wife Jannie; sisters, Linda Hill and Betty Hill; mother, Lois Hill and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Lapine Assembly of God. In lieu of flowers memorials donations are to be given to Lapine Assembly of God.
