COVINGTON—J C Tannehill, 83, died yesterday at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. He was a native of Sumrall, MS and a longtime resident of Bogalusa.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lanelle Bannister Tannehill of Bogalusa; daughters Patricia Tannehill Marcomb of Bogalusa and Linda Tannehill Hansen and husband Don of Baton Rouge; sons Ronald David, Michael Eugene and Gregory Blake Tannehill all of Bogalusa; grandchildren Michele, Roger, William, Shannon and Jessica; great-grandchildren Blake and Alaina; brothers Bobby Tannehill of Bogalusa and Larry Tannehill of Niceville, Florida, sister Mary Lou Green of Gulfport, Mississippi and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Cyrus Tannehill and Mary Wallace Tannehill; a son, Jerry Wayne Tannehill; and 14 brothers and sisters.
