July 5, 1958 - February 28, 2010
Ricky Ronald Reed, 51, a resident of Varnado, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 at the LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.
He is survived by one sister, Barbara R. Hunt of Varnado; his uncle, Murphy "Marvin" Kennedy of Varnado; four cousins: Kim Bennett, Mike Cothern, Richard Kennedy and Denise (David) Dantin; special friends: Jan Privette, Sarah Willis, Wesley Lankford, Buttermilk Wilson, Tommy Vaughan and Richard Miller.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Ann Reed; his grandparents, David "Dave" Kindy and Myrlene Welsh Kindy; his aunt, Willena Kennedy and his uncle, James Kindy.
There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 4 at Ponemah Cemetery, with the Rev. Nelson Bracey officiating. Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
