BOSSIER CITY – Services for Larry E. Sharrah, 62, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2014 at St. Jude Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Pike Thomas. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.
Larry was born July 24, 1951 in San Rafael, CA to Claude and June Sharrah. He passed away peacefully, due to complications of a brief illness, January 2, 2014 in Bossier City, LA. Larry was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and was a coach and teacher at Jesuit High School. He worked at Topmost Food Center along with his family, and was influential in bringing youth sports back to Bossier City. Larry was presently employed as an agent with New York Life.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, June Sharrah; father-in-law, Frank Viviano and sister-in-law, Polly Sharrah.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Sharrah; father, Claude Sharrah and wife Mary; mother-in-law, Maxine Viviano; son, Keith Sharrah and wife Devon; daughter, Megan Hembree and husband Chris; sisters, Nancy Russo and husband Tony, Debbie Hutson and husband Pat, Karen Ormond and husband Willie; brothers, Alan Sharrah and wife Joni, Tim Sharrah and wife Tammy and beloved grandchildren, Conner and Bryson Sharrah and Ella, Lily and Will Hembree.
The family would like to thank the Bossier City EMT services and the Willis Knighton Bossier ER and ICU staffs.
