Earline Harper, 85, of Bossier City, LA, entered into eternal rest on August 19, 2018. She was born in Church Point, LA on December 14, 1932. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and adoring grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 65 years, Freddie Harper; daughter, Romona Podgorny; sons, Rickey Harper with wife Tammy and Randy Harper with wife Vicki; granddaughters, Allie Harper, Amy Podgorny, and Christina Keeler with husband Dale; grandsons, Chad Podgorny with wife Lolly, Jeff Harper with wife Missy, Matthew Harper, Jared Harper, and Joey Harper; great grandchildren, Joshua Keeler, Carson Keeler, Carrigan Lee, Colby Lee, Owen Podgorny, Vincent Podgorny, Gracie Harper, Eli Harper, Conner Harper, Kayden Harper and Stella Harper; and one sister, Nita Cole of Lake Charles, LA. Preceding Earline in death are her parents, Colvis and Katherine Benoit; sisters, Lenora Sonnier, Leona Markentel, Willie Mae Benoit and Bernice Tate; and brothers, Junior Benoit and Wilfred Benoit.
A service celebrating Earline’s life will be held at Bellaire Baptist Church, 1210 Bellaire Blvd., Bossier City, LA on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11 AM. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Her son, Dr. Randy Harper will serve as officiant with Dr. Fred Lowery assisting.
Honoring Earline as pallbearers will be Chad Podgorny, Matthew Harper, Jeff Harper, Jared Harper, Dale Keeler and Lyndell Webb.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Promise Specialty Hospital and Pilgrim Manor Nursing and Rehab for their kind and compassionate care, and to our Bellaire church family and many friends who have stood by us through Earline’s lengthy illness and for all of their prayers and acts of kindness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, The Gideons, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Bellaire Baptist F.I.T. Fund, Samaritan’s Purse, or any charity of your choice.
