Graveside Services for Richard Mark Zachry, 53, of West Monroe, LA will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, September 20, 2012 in the Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Zachry was born on December 11, 1958 in Ruston, LA and died on September 17, 2012 in West Monroe, LA. He had been a member of the APBA boat racing association, and was an avid outdoorsman, hunting ducks and deer. Mr. Zachry loved building things; he first started with his welding trailer and then constructed his shop piece by piece. His plans were to start on a boat for Noah his grandson.
He is preceded in death by his father, Phil Zachry.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Ballard Zachry; daughter, Katie Meredith and husband, Jamie and son, Paul Zachry and wife, Lauren; grandchildren, Noah, Jonah and Luke Meredith and Haylea Zachry; mother, Peggy Zachry; brothers, Tony Zachry and wife, Karen, and Steven Zachry and wife, Jeannette; nephews, Erik Zachry and wife, Beth, Kyle Zachry; niece, Emery Thibodeaux and husband, Trey; great nieces, Alyssa and Aubrey Zachry; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Richard Horrell, David McLemore, Dickie Patterson, Darren Patterson, Edward Cole and Mark Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron Traxler, Bob Freeman, and Richard LeMoine.
