A memorial reception for William M.“Bill” Benson, 81, of West Monroe will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Chef Eric Johnson and Company, 222 Blanchard Street, West Monroe, LA for friends and acquaintances. A private family service will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the same location under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Benson was born November 11, 1933 in Klamath Falls, OR and passed away July 19, 2015 in West Monroe, LA. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed in the Plywood Industry business for over 40 years and in his later years owned Framed by Bill frame shop on Trenton Street. in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Benson loved playing tennis and watching West Monroe High School and Alabama Football. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Byrne Benson.
Mr. Benson is survived by his wife, Betty Benson; sons; Mark Benson and wife Anne, Max Benson and wife Stephanie, David Benson and wife Lana and Drew Benson; grandchildren, Leslie Riley, Will Benson, Beth Robinson, Abby Hunter, Jana Benson, Luke Benson and Beau Benson.
