Wife of Carl Leon Bankston
Mrs. Caradora Sargent Bankston, 81, a native of Jeanerette, Louisiana, and a former resident of Franklinton and Lake Charles, died early Wednesday, February 13th, at St. Charles General Hospital in New
Orleans.
She was the widow of the late Carl Leon Bankston of Franklinton. She is survived by a son, Carl L. Bankston, Jr. of Metairie; four grandchildren, Mrs. W. T. (Katharine) Cross of Darien, Connecticut, Miss
Elizabeth Bankston of Dallas, Texas, Miss Marianne Bankston of Metairie, and Carl L. Bankston III of Thailand; and two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Carolyn Cross of Darien, Connecticut.
The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton until the time for funeral services, which were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 14th, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Father John LeBlanc
and the Rev. Dr. A. W. Robbins officiating. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roy Bankston, Jesse Bankston, Jacob Bankston, Leo Bankston, J. B. Pope, and Carey Bateman.
