Husband of Catherine Tinsley
He enlisted May 14, 1862, in Monroe, Louisiana. He was present on the Company Muster Roll for July - August 1863. On August 29, 1864, he was admitted to the C.S.A. General Hospital, Shreveport, Louisiana with diarrhea. He was transferred to Keachi, Louisiana on August 31, 1864. On September 20, 1864, he was admitted to the C.S.A. General Hospital, Shreveport, Louisiana with ascites (accumulation of serous fluid in the abdominal cavity). On October 3, 1864, he was transferred to Mt. Lebanon. The Company Muster Roll for January - February 1865, listed his status as A.W.O.L. (absent without leave).
