Shreveport, LA - Wayne, 53, was born May 30, 1964 in Shreveport, LA. He went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2017 after an extremely courageous two year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Wayne was a 1982 graduate of Woodlawn High School where he used to cruise the neighborhood in his souped-up sports car. He worked in the railroad parts industry for many years and was employed at Progress Rail Services as a plant manager since 1999.

He loved holidays, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a huge LSU and NASCAR fan, and loved yearly trips to Disney World.

He was also a handyman extraordinaire who could fix absolutely anything. He was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Doyle Ray Wilkins and his step-father, Dale Brummett.

Wayne is survived by his two best friends, his wife of 28 years, Melonee, and their son, Austin, his mother Shirley Wilkins Brummett, his sister, Linda Racine and husband Frank, and sister, Sandra Madden, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

Pallbearers are Frank Racine, Randy Racine, Ricky Racine, Ron Bradford, Ronnie Conly and John Hasty.

Visitation will be August 4th, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., services following at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Southside. Interment will be at Forest Park West officiated by Rev. Chuck McInturf.
