August 10, 1954 - December 19, 2019
Terry Glen Jewell, 65, of Blanchard, LA passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery officiated by Rev. Ted Hardin and the Free Masons. There will be a time of visitation starting at 10 am at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA.
Terry was born August 10, 1954 in Shreveport, LA to George Jewell and Elizabeth Cain Jewell. He lived all of his life in this area. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was Master of the Lodge for Mooringsport and Blanchard. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved baseball and softball and umpired both for many years, and years back he was the president of Dixie Baseball and Softball for the Mooringsport and Oil City ballparks. Terry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Preceding Terry in death were his parents, his sisters, Sue Beasley and Bennie Calcote, and his nephew Bill Erhart. He is survived by his wife Pam Jewell of Blanchard, LA, his children; Christopher Jewell and wife Tracy of Shreveport, Brandi Jewell of Mooringsport, LA, Allen Magaw and husband Michael of Shreveport, Jason Moss and wife Shannon of Mooringsport, Phillip Hooker of Blanchard, Billy Hooker and wife Mandy of Longview, TX, his grandchildren; Hunter Moss (Hannah), Jordan Thompson(Jonathon), Joshua Jewell, Conner Jewell, Logan Hooker, Christian Robinson, Sydney Robinson, Hailey Hooker, and Ryker Hooker, his brother Gary Jewell of Haughton, his sister Carol Pate and husband Ronnie of Shreveport, his great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other “adopted” family.
