Kenneth “Kenny” Sewell, 60 of Mooringsport, LA passed away on November 4, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, Louisiana, officiated by Bro. Rocky Maddox. Burial will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, LA. There will be a time of visitation from 1 PM until time of service on Monday, November 9th at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home.

Kenny was born on November 5, 1959 in Ashdown, Arkansas to Rudolph and Marie Sewell. He lived in Mooringsport for the past 18 years, and was a member of Rose Park Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors and was outside any chance he got. He could fix anything and he loved to tinker on things until he figured out how to fix it. He worked in construction as a general contractor for Cochran Construction. He was a giver, with a big heart, who would help anyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Marie Sewell, his 4 brothers, Junior, Joe, Scott, and Pete Sewell, his 2 sisters, Barbara Murchinson and Janet Douglas, and his stepdaughter Melanie Brown. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jerrie Faye Sewell of Mooringsport, LA, his stepchildren Meagan Wade and husband Joe Wade Jr. of Benton, LA and Chance Glasgow of Mooringsport, he was “Paw” to Katelyn Brown, Emma Brown, Andrea Wade, and Joe Wade III, and he was also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chance Glasgow, Joe Wade Jr, Jerry Thomas, T.J. McCoy, David Tucker, and Matt Lauterbach. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Cochran and Jimmy Cochran.
