Shreveport, LA - Services for Jackie Brock, Sr., 68, will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home with Justin Haigler, Pastor of The Simple Church, officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 19, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Park West Cemetery.
Jackie was born April 26, 1949, and passed away November 16, 2017, after a battle with leukemia. He was a hardworking, kind and loving man, always there if you needed him. He graduated from Fair Park in 1967 and retired from Southwest Sales in 2011 after 40+ years in the truck and trailer parts business.
Jackie is survived by his wife and soulmate of 47+ years, Jan Kitchens Brock; his loving sons, Jeremy Brock and Jackie Brock Jr. and wife Jessica; his two precious grandchildren, the lights of his life, Jack III (8) and Joslyn (5); siblings: his loving brother who was always there for him, Mike Brock and wife Sandy; special sister, Teresa Wren; Carolyn Byles and husband Andy; Ricky Brock; Betty Comer and husband David; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Jackie in death are his parents, Calvin and Hattie Brock; sister Bonnie Reusch; and brother Jimmy Brock.
Pallbearers are good friends Eddy Howard, Steve Mauldin, Jerry Juneau, Steve Broussard, Butch Saxon, Kenny Peters, Tommy Stahl and Don Johnson.
