Mr Thomas P Hyde of Shreveport went to heaven Saturday, January 3, 2015. He was born in Winfield, Louisiana to Thomas and Isla Hyde September 7, 1927. Tommy graduated from Winfield High School. He served in the US Navy 1944-46. He was married to Lillian Bernadine Crain. He ran his own painting business for over 50 years. His family will mostly miss his songs and stories. Tommy loved to play piano and guitar and often wrote songs for his loved ones.
He is survived by wife Bernadine, daughter Gloria Hyde Hillman, sister Genae Butler and grandchildren Danielle Miller, Dylan Hillman, Lesli Reeves, Cody Hillman and Hannah Hillman.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 7 at Southern Funeral Home, 1:00 PM until services.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev John Holland officiating. Interment will follow in Winnfield City Cemetery, in Winnfield.
