Rolls from November 1861, to July 1, 1862, state Present. Roll to October 31, 1862, Absent on detached service. Roll for January & February 1863, Present, promoted Lieutenant Colonel November 30, 1862. Returned February 12, 1863. Roll for May and June, 1863, states Present. Roll for Septtmber and October 1863, Absent on leave from Hospital. Roll for January & February 1864, states Present. Roll for March and April, 1864, Absent, sick, since April 24, 1864. Rolls from September 1864, to April 30, 1864, state Present. On Register of Prisoners of War, Paroled May 13, 1865, authority of Major General Canby. Elected Captain, October 21, 1861; successor, T H Kyes. Promoted Lieutenant Colonel, November 30, 1862. Promoted Major, December 1, 1862; successor, F M Raxsdale.
