Pam Lankford, 64 of Bethany, Louisiana passed away on August 16, 2020. Memorial funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at First Baptist Church Vivian officiated by Rev. Brett Puckitt.
Pam was born on July 30, 1956 in Shreveport, LA to Wayne and Jerry Lankford, and grew up in Vivian, LA. She worked as a Registered Nurse, and often traveled for work. She and Bernie were teammates in nursing and were so good at what they did they were called the “Dynamic Duo”. Pam was a sweet and kind person and loved taking care of others. In her younger years she loved to play basketball. As she got older she loved to follow sports. Her favorite professional team was the Golden State Warriors and her favorite college team was LSU. Pam’s dogs were the love of her life and she always sang to them, “You are my Sunshine”.
She is preceded in death by her mother Geraldine “Jerry” Lankford. She is survived by her father, Wayne Lankford and step-mother Doris of Vivian, LA, and significant other, Bernie Purkey of Bethany, LA. She is also survived by her 2 sisters, Vickie Fedd and husband Kenny of Shreveport, LA, and Kathy Moore and husband Dennis of Shreveport, LA, her 3 step-sisters, Penny Langston, Becky Hilburn, and Robin Hale, and nephews Cody Moore(Sue) and Taylor Moore(Sarah), nieces Mandy Wall(Shannon) and Stacey Little(Russell), and 8 great-nieces and nephews, Kayla, Matthew, Carson, Addison, Landon, Lucas, Wren, and Ivy.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church Vivian or to your charity of choice.
