August 15, 1934 - March 8, 2017
David Cross, 82, of Rodessa, Louisiana passed away on March 8, 2017. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Vivian Cemetery in Vivian, LA, officiated by Rev. Dale Wooten. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 PM on Thursday March 9th at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian.
Mr. Cross was born on August 15, 1934 in Vivian, LA to Russell J. Cross and Mamie Gilbert Cross. He lived in Rodessa for the past 25 years and was a member of Rodessa Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish and also enjoyed camping. He loved to visit with people and was a friend to everyone he met.
Mr. Cross is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Melvin and Marvin Cross, and his grandson J.D. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Velma Cross of Rodessa, LA, this Saturday would have been 61 years of marriage. He is also survived by his two sons Dusty Cross and wife Di of Atlanta, TX, and Mike Cross and wife Patricia of Rodessa, LA, his daughter Penny Cross of Rodessa, LA, one brother Kenneth Cross and wife Helen of Vivian, LA, 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Barlow, Brian Barlow, Rick Barr, Johnny Cross, Rusty Cross, Brian Cross and Keith Cross.
