Roy Wayne Abney, 68 of Vivian, Louisiana passed away January 23, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Monday, January 26, 2015 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, Louisiana, officiated by Reverend Mark Crook. Burial will follow at Vivian Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, January 25 from 6-8pm at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home. Roy was born August 17, 1946 in Foreman, Arkansas to Allen and Connie Abney. He graduated from high school in Andrews, Texas. He was in the United States Army and served his country in the Vietnam War. He was a tool pusher and consultant for Nabors Drilling. He loved to fish, ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and he had a very special love for his dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Mary Lois Lawrence, Thomas Abney, and Ailene Duley. He is survived by his children Becky Reinhardt and husband Randy of Uvalde, Texas, and Roy Abney and wife Sue of Orange Park, Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeremy Reinhardt and wife Sally of Del Rio, Texas, Jarred Reinhardt and wife Ashley of Bee Cave, Texas, Judge Reinhardt of San Antonio, Texas, and Katie Abney of Greenville, South Carolina, his great grandchildren Jax Reinhardt, Jet Reinhardt, and Aiden Abney, his siblings Wanda Abney, Yvonne Simmons, James Abney and wife Linda, Cherry Abney, Linda Sue McNew, Glen Abney and wife Robyn, Margey Ysasi, and a host of nieces and nephews. Very special thanks to a great niece Samantha Thomas and Calvin for the love and care given to Roy for the last 4 years, thanks also to Schley and Mallia who loved him and entertained him for most of their life. Special thanks to the nurses at St Joseph Hospice, Mary Dunham, Jamie White, and Tonnette Williams.
