Kenneth G. Smith Jr., 77, passed away Sunday morning in his home in Coppell, Texas. A private family graveside service will be held at Vivian Cemetery, with a memorial service held at a later date. Kenneth was born August 3, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Kenneth G. Smith Sr. and Muriel Sullivan Smith. Although they moved several times Kenneth and his sister Nancy Smith considered Vivian, Louisiana their home. After earning a Bachelors degree in accounting from Louisiana Tech, Kenneth spent 30 years as a bank examiner for the FDIC. In 1990 he married M. Jane Smithers and they were inseparable the rest of his life. He held a lifelong passion for guns, investing, Westerns and later in live became a passionate Texas Rangers fan. He is survived by his wife, his son Jonathan Mark Smith and his spouse Lesley Ann Smith, his 2 grandchildren Reagan and Lincoln, his sister Nancy Smith, and his cousins Patricia Kennedy, Dona Rougeau, and Andrea Marinello.
