Private services for Ted Madden, age 89, of Monroe will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 26, 2005 from St Paul's United Methodist Church in Monroe, Louisiana with Rev Dick Humphries officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery west of Grayson.
Mr Madden was born in Beekman, Louisiana on February 11, 1916 to the union of Theodore Mac and Vaser Johnson Madden and died Monday, October 24, 2005 at the Willis-Knighten Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He was a retired automotive mechanic and retired from International Paper Company. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army. He was a member of St Paul's United Methodist Church and also a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years Gladys Hester Madden of Monroe; son Teddy Mac Madden of London, Kentucky; daughters Ann Fryer of Winchester, Kentucky, Jane Draper of Atlanta, Texas and Betty Stewart of Monroe, Louisiana; his grandchildren Jeff Fryer, Angie Jessup, Mark Fryer, Todd Fryer, Chris Crooks, Brian Crooks, Theodore Mac Madden, III, Steffanie Stewart, Michelle Woods and Brent Stewart; his step-granddaughters Jennifer Woods and Caroline Woods; his great-grandchildren Stewart Woods, Lillie Ann Fryer, Kate Fryer, Mitchell Fryer, Danielle Fryer and Carson Crooks. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Travis Davis, James Kelly, Grady Dugus and Zane Wise.
